The savethe shortcut
To download faster, add savethe in front of x.com in any public status URL. Keep /username/status/… the same. savethe + x.com becomes savethex.com.

Ended Live replay vs currently live
This page is for ended public X Live broadcasts and replays linked from a public post. Once X exposes a replay, SaveTheX can prepare it as MP4.
A stream that is still running is not supported. Wait until the broadcast ends and a public replay is available, then use this page.
How Live preparation works
Live replays are often delivered as HLS segments. SaveTheX remuxes those segments into a finished MP4 on the server, then starts a normal file download with a full Content-Length.
Keep the tab open while the button shows “Preparing…”. Closing early or saving a partial stream is what usually produces ~8-second files of a long Live.
Hour-long lives can take several minutes to prepare. That wait is what keeps the full duration intact.
How to download an X Live replay
Open the public post that links the ended Live. Copy its URL, paste it on savethex.com, or add savethe in front of x.com and open the new link.
Tap Get media, choose a quality, wait until preparation finishes, then tap Save video / Download for the finished MP4.

Why other downloaders clip long Lives
Many tools stream fragmented media in the browser. If the connection stops early, players often show only the first segment — commonly a few seconds of an hour-long replay.

That usually means the file was opened or saved before preparation finished. Keep the tab open until “Preparing…” completes, then download the finished MP4 again.

Yes for ended public replays. Long broadcasts take longer to prepare on the server — keep the tab open, then download the finished file.
Is this a Twitter Live / broadcast downloader?
Yes for ended public Twitter / X broadcasts and replays. It is not a tool for capturing an ongoing live stream in real time.
Do I need an account?
No. SaveTheX does not require an X account or a SaveTheX account. Only public posts work.
